Founded in 2019, Nuestras Raíces Inc. is a Baltimore-based nonprofit dedicated to educating, promoting, and preserving the richness and diversity of Latino culture, arts, and heritage. Through cultural events, educational programs, and community celebrations, Nuestras Raíces strengthens cultural identity and creates meaningful opportunities for Latino youth and families across the Baltimore Metropolitan Region to connect with the arts and their heritage.
In 2022, Nuestras Raíces Inc. proudly established Casa de la Cultura, the first and only Latino educational and cultural empowerment center in the state of Maryland. Located in Baltimore, Casa de la Cultura is a safe, welcoming space where youth, families, and community members participate in year-round cultural arts programming, youth leadership initiatives, and educational activities.
Our free youth programs give young people the tools to learn, explore, and develop lasting pride in their cultural heritage. Casa de la Cultura stands as a landmark achievement for the Latino community, a dedicated, permanent space for education, empowerment, and belonging in the heart of Baltimore.
Celebrating Latino Culture in Baltimore Year-Round
Throughout the year, Nuestras Raíces presents major cultural events that draw thousands of Baltimore residents and visitors together to celebrate the traditions, music, arts, and diversity of Latin America. Our signature events include monthly art galleries, Frida Fest, the Casa de la Cultura Annual Anniversary Celebration, Día de los Muertos, and Fiesta Baltimore — the largest and most anticipated Latino cultural festival in Baltimore. Each event strengthens community bonds and uplifts Latino culture in Maryland and beyond. Donate today.
