Nuestras Raíces was built on a simple belief that every Latino child in Baltimore deserves to know where they come from, and every family deserves a place to call home. Your support powers the youth programs, cultural center, and citywide celebrations that make that real.
Baltimore’s Latino community comes from 25+ nations, from Mexico and Central America to the Caribbean, South America, and Spain. We bring food, music, language, faith, and family traditions that have made this city richer for generations. But too many of our neighbors, especially our youth, grow up feeling disconnected from that heritage. And too often, the only stories told about us are the smallest ones.
Nuestras Raíces exists to change that.
Founded in 2019 by community organizer Angelo Solera, we run free youth programs, host citywide cultural celebrations, and operate Maryland’s first and only Latino cultural center, Casa de la Cultura. Every dollar you give keeps these doors open. Below are the three causes your gift makes possible.
At the Latino Culture Hub, we believe that this richness deserves to be celebrated, shared, and protected for generation
We’ll route your gift to the program with the most urgent need this month.
“Casa de la Cultura helped my daughter connect with her roots while building real digital skills. Nuestras Raíces is a pillar of our neighborhood.”
— Elena Vásquez, Highlandtown parent
