Bailes  de Mi Tierra’s mission is to preserve, promote, and present Mexican  & Latin American traditions through its music, dance, and folklore.

Based  in Baltimore, the group has become a community favorite in the  Tri-state region for its colorful costumes, vibrant dances, and the  lively sounds of Mexican & Latin American music that provide a rich  representation of its heritage and traditions; performing regularly at  festivals, museums, schools, and other events.

 Forged  in Mexico City and now transplanted to Baltimore, Downtown Tumbao’s  sound is one of borderlands that merge Afro-Caribbean beats, creating an  original, synergistic mix of Jazz, Bossa Nova, Swing, Bolero and Son.  They scale up to their full band for large events and trim down to their  core voice and guitar duo for more intimate settings.

Cultura Plenera is a non-profit organization dedicated to community building in  Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia areas through the traditional  Puerto Rican musical styles of Bomba and Plena. Bomba is a Puerto Rican musical genre that dates back more than 300 years,  has heavy African influences, and expresses the sentiments of Puerto  Ricans and their culture through barrel drums, maraca, cúa, singer and  dancers. Plena is another Puerto  Rican musical genre, which dates back more than 100 years, and also  narrates stories of the Puerto Rican experience through hand drums,  güiro and singers. Both Bomba y Plena are central to life in Puerto Rican communities inside and outside of the island. 

 Ruphay  is a nonprofit organization founded by a group of parents in February  2008. Our mission is to inspire Bolivian youth to preserve, disperse and  promote the Bolivian and Latin-American culture through folkloric  dances and to be recognized for our traditions. 

 Our  most important objective is to strengthen familial bonds, emotional and  moral support for our youth and also to promote positive coexistence  between dancers, parents, and leaders. We act as an educational entity  to help our youth to prioritize education and to participate in programs  of personal enrichment such leadership, oratory, positive attitudes,  manners, good conduct and behavior, and community service.

Fundacion Elena Ballet Folklorico Mexicano Inc. was founded in 2012.

FEBFM  is an Incorporated 501(c)(3)  non-profit organization that is focused  on exposing traditional Mexican culture to its members, students and  audience through dance, choreography, and costumes from various states  of Mexico.

 Our group was created in order to organize a representation of Uruguay in the parade "Caravana Fiesta Baltimore 2020", joining the rest of Latin nations in the commemoration of Hispanic Heritage Month in the state of Maryland, United States. And to continue working to present ourselves in parades for years to come. Beyond that specific project, we would also like this group to serve as a meeting point for compatriots living in Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia. To share information among all, and promote our culture, customs, as well as Uruguayan enterprises through notices and recommendations.
